A Curriculum Built for Kindergarten Success

Meck Pre-K at Dixon Academy develops the whole child — cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically — through daily intentional teaching.

🎓

Kindergarten Readiness — Our Central Goal

Every activity, every transition, every intentional interaction in our Meck Pre-K classroom is designed with one outcome in mind: sending your child into kindergarten with the skills, confidence, and love of learning to thrive from day one. We track progress continuously and adjust instruction to meet each child where they are.

📖

Literacy & Language

Structured phonological awareness activities, interactive read-alouds, and vocabulary-building conversations develop strong pre-reading foundations.

🧩

Math & Science

Hands-on counting, sorting, patterning, and simple experiments build mathematical thinking and scientific inquiry habits.

🧠

Social-Emotional Learning

Intentional SEL instruction helps children name emotions, build friendships, solve conflicts peacefully, and develop the self-regulation skills kindergarten demands.

🏃

Physical Development

Daily outdoor time, structured PE, and fine motor activities support the physical development and health habits essential for school success.
